SUMMARY:What to do before an A/B test?  An exploration of offline evaluation methods
DESCRIPTION:Bonjour à tous!\nNous vous invitons à un nouveau Meetup presenté par Eustache Diemert\, qui travaille actuellement chez Criteo\, portant sur les méthodes d’évaluation offline. Eustache Diemert\, sera aussi présent le 15 janvier au Dataday\, une journée pour échanger autour des problématiques data (plus de détails en bas). \nAbstract: Doing randomized trial (e.g. A/B test) is the gold standard to prove that a new method or algorithm is better than the baseline. But such tests are costly and imply that the new method/implementation is of production quality. A natural solution is then to choose the better candidate offline using logged data. We will explore different possibilities to do so and highlight their advantages and shortcomings.
